Winter Wonder

These photos are from Upstate NY state parks and two different parks in Vermont. I understand that the cold is a bit troublesome for some people; I do. It doesn’t bother me, though. I think winter is so beautiful and peaceful. When I was taking some of these photographs there wasn’t a single person anywhere around me. I could hear the snowflakes falling and landing on the blanket of snow on the ground. It was magical.

Each season comes with its own beauty and its own tribulations. But I figure wherever I’m living in my life, I might as well make the best of it, and appreciate my environment for whatever it is. Happy winter to all!

California Is Pretty I Guess!

Recently I visited some friends in Northern California for about a week. We traveled to Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, San Francisco, Muir Woods, Point Reyes Beach, & the Redwood Forest all within this time.

The more I travel, the more I realize how little I have seen of this world. It truly makes you realize how vast this earth is, and helps me fully grasp how small I am in the scheme of this world; this life. Where some people might be disturbed, or disheartened, by how minute they are in this world, I feel humbled and comforted by it. I like knowing that I can always see someplace new; that there is always more to see and learn. I will never know it all, and that is okay with me! It’s more than okay–it’s exciting!

Here are just a few pictures from my brief trip to California! In about 1 year I am planning to move to the West Coast, to Seattle, and enjoy all of the beauty this region of the earth has to offer.
